First Impression by Portrait and Fine Art photographer Tina Brikland Borsheim
Tina Brikland Borsheim is a professional fine art photographer located near Stavanger in Norway. Tina sees herself not just as a photographer, but as an artist. She creates art and truly believes that everyone is deserving of having beautiful artwork of them selves or their loved ones printed big on their walls.
Tina loves the SIGMA 24-70mm due to its versatility and since it gives her the freedom to change her composition without moving around. So of course we wanted her to try the updated version.
"- My first impression is that the lens is built with quality, it feels really good in my hands. At first I was a bit sceptical to the new aperture ring, but as I used the lens I actually grew to love it! It makes it easier for me to change the aperture with out having to move my fingers from the shutter. And to be honest, sometimes in the heat of the moment I mix up the wheel for shutter speed and aperture, and this just makes it easier and faster for me. Huge plus!", Tina says.

"- I've tried the lens both in my studio and outside, and the quality this lens brings to my images is amazing. It's very sharp, and the focus is fast. SIGMA has done an amazing job when it comes to reducing/eliminating chromatic aberration or other sorts of colour bleeding I often experience shooting wide open outside. Even when shooting wide open towards bright light I have not had any problems with it using the SIGMA 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN Art II. Again, huge plus!
And for us who care about the bokeh and creaminess in the background - this lens does not fail us! It's super soft and creamy, I love it!", Tina ends with.
And as you can see, Tina always manages to create magic in her photos!

"- A detail that surprised me was the option to have the aperture ring brushless or “clicking”. Very convenient to be able to change aperture in silence while filming. The images and filmed produced with the lens are stunning and I am very happy with the improved autofocus and the minimum focus distance which was very useful when shooting food in the restaurant", Jonas continues.
Jonas managed to capture the heat of the moment in the kitchen perfectly with this new lens.
