Let us introduce to you, the all new SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary! SIGMA's first APS-C size mirrorless zoom lens.

This exceptionally small, light and bright standard zoom for crop-sensor mirrorless cameras it the ultimate workhorse lens with a large F2.8 aperture. A versatile lens, perfect for landscapes, travels, portraits, street photography, architecture and events. It is also great for macro-style close-up photography, thanks to its maximum magnification of 1:2.8*, which allows a minimum focusing distance of just 12.1 cm. 

* The minimum focusing distance and maximum magnification ration are both values at the wide end.

Who is the 18-50mm F2.8 for?

The 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary is the smallest and lightest lens in its class*, weighing only 290g. It almost fits in your pocket! It supports a variety of shooting situations, from introductory single-lens mirrorless cameras to video shooting and in combination with full-frame cameras (used in crop mode).

*As an AF compatible, F2.8 constant aperture zoom lens for APS-C (as of October 2021, by SIGMA)

Being a very versatile lens, it is perfect for landscapes, street photography, architecture and events. Thanks to its minimum focusing distance of only 12.1cm, it is also great for macro-style close-up photography, and with the smooth and attractive bokeh it is ideal for shooting portraits. The autofocus is both fast and quiet, thanks to the stepping motor, which also makes this lens suitable for shooting videos and fast-moving subjects such as wildlife and children.
