Looking back at the SIGMA year of 2023!

- SIGMA Nordic

With only a few days left of 2023, we wanted to look back at the year that’s been. But first, we wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who have supported us during this year!

Thank you to everyone who has bought or used a SIGMA lens, for every photo you´ve shared and tagged us in. Thank you for all your kind words and continued support!
Thank you to our amazing SIGMA Nordic Ambassadors and for the work you´re doing. We´re so proud to have you as a part of the SIGMA family.
Thank you to our resellers in the Nordics, for your continued support and for choosing SIGMA!

Let us have a look at the SIGMA 2023 that has passed, with no less than 12 unique new lenses launched, both new lenses and old favorites in new mounts. Something new for everyone to enjoy, including a 10x telephoto zoom, our widest and brightest lens and our first Nikon Z lenses.

60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports

We started the year with a big one, the SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports for Sony E and L-Mount. The one and only 60-600mm zoom lens, able to handle every situation from standard to ultra-telephoto all by itself.

An ultra-telephoto 10x zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras with a stable and high optical performance throughout the entire zoom range.

50mm F1.4 DG DN | Art

Some say that you´re setup isn´t complete without a 50mm lens, and early 2023 we launched one for mirrorless full-frame cameras for Sony E and L-Mount. The highest level of expressive performance, high-speed AF, and compactness – all combined in perfection. A versatile lens that is now lighter and sharper than ever.

23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary

The wide-angle lens ideal for APS-C mirrorless cameras with high optical performance, F1.4 brightness, and compact enough to carry around every day. With an angle of view equivalent to 35mm, it is perfect for landscapes, portraits, street and tabletop photography.

17mm F4 DG DN | Contemporary & 50mm F2 DG DN | Contemporary

I series got two new additions this April, the wide-angle 17mm F4 and the classic 50mm F2. A duo perfect for travelling, with performance beyond expectations condensed into a small body. Just like all I series lenses, the build quality is amazing in all-metal.

3 April, 2023

16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary & 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary

We finally launched our first lenses with Nikon Z mount in 2023, the F1.4 DC DN trio 16mm, 30mm and 56mm for APS-C cameras. These popular lenses are perfect as a starting point when upgrading your kit lens. They are also extremely affordable, compact and bright.

14mm F1.4 DG DN | Art

In June, we welcomed the ultimate astrophotography lens for mirrorless full-frame cameras – the 14mm F1.4 DG DN | Art. The world’s first and only lens that combines an ultra-wide angle of 14mm with a maximum aperture of F1.4. All for the best starscape photography.

31 August, 2023

100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary & 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary

August brought us two existing lenses, but in a new mount – the 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary and 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary in X Mount. Since the 100-400mm DG DN is especially for APS-C sensors, the X Mount user gets a 1.5x crop, meaning you´ll get a 150-600mm full-frame equivalent range in a very compact body.

14mm F1.4 DG DN | Art

Autumn brought us the perfect companion to our existing 18-50mm F2.8 – the 10-18mm F2.8 DG DN | Contemporary for full-frame mirrorless cameras for Sony E, L-Mount and X Mount. This compact 10-18mm wide-angle lens is actually the world’s smallest and lightest ultra-wide-angle zoom for APS-C cameras, perfect for landscapes as well as vlogging.

16 November, 2023

70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports

Finally we launched the very long-awaited 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports for Sony E and L-Mount in mid-November! This telephoto zoom from the Sports line, has a top-level build quality condensed into a highly mobile lens, packed with all the technology SIGMA has to offer. Performance, reliability, and mobility at its highest level. With its dust and splash-resistant structure and high-speed AF ensures that users can take the right shot when there is no room for error, even in bad weather.

We hope you´ve enjoyed the SIGMA year of 2023, and we´re looking forward to what the next 12 months will bring.

Bring on 2024!
